Best Books for Parenting

I read every parenting and baby development book I could find during my pregnancy. Here is a quick list of the best books I read that have helped me find a healthy balance in parenting.

1.)Cribsheet by Emily Otter

If you only have time to read one parenting book during your pregnancy, this is a great audiobook to purchase and listen to during your commute. This book is packed with all the data to help you decide on the BIG decisions of the early days of parenting, such as breastfeeding vs. formula, sleep training, vaccinations, introducing solid food, etc.

2.) Wonder Weeks by Xaviera Plooji, Frans X. Plooji PhD & Hetty van de Riot, PhD

This book baby developmental milestone information organized by their “leaps” or fussy phase. You can also purchase the Wonder week app, which summarizes the information for you and creates a calendar of your baby’s leap.

3.) Love your kids without losing yourself by Dr. Morgan Cutlip

4.) How not to hate your husband after kids by Janice Dunn

5.) Thirty Million Words by Dana Suskind, MD

6.) The read aloud factor by Rekha S. Rajah

7.) The Fourth Trimester by Kimberly Ann Johnson

8.) Better late than Early by Raymond S. Moore and Dorothy N. Moore

If you are interested in Montessori parenting here a list of books on that subject:

1.) The Montessori Home by Ashely Yeh M.Ed.

2.) The Montessori Baby by Simone Davies and Junnifa Uzodike

I hope that this book guide helps support your parenting journey.

Much love,

Carol
